Left Trigger targeting problem

Hi. I just bought fable 2 and i cant target anything. i tried restarting, creating a new profile, updating fable 2, saving and loading again, changing batteries for the controller, but they all dont work. I cant target anything at all. When i hold down left trigger (with or without the safety on) nothing happens. My controller works perfectly aswell with other games and in other parts of the fable 2 menu, but in-game the left trigger doesnt work. I cant go further in the main story because i cant target anything. I even refunded the game and got a new copy but the same thing happens.

I have been to other sites and some other players have the same problem with no real solution, or no solution that works for me.

Please help.

To be able to target you need to have dextrous styles and accuracy in your skills attributes. You will acquire these as you progress through the game but not at the beginning.

Its not that targeting. I cannot target anything at all with my left trigger, not enemies, not townspeople. And besides, i played long enough to get the dextrous styles targeting and it is not the same.

I don't have a solution for you, but I can say that targeting isn't necessary. I almost never target people when I play, and I'm on my way to beating it for the 19th time now.

When you lock on to someone in a town, their love/hate of you appears at the top. You can also then press Y to see more information, such as their personality. In combat, however, this feature is not available.

You shouln't have to target anything to complete the game, you just wont be able to target people to veiw their stats.

Does the left trigger work duiring cutscenes?

I honestly don't know what to tell you. I have noticed that if you hit the left trigger while running, and you target someone and run past them without un-targeting them, that their "press Y to veiw stats" won't go away from the top of the screen and you can't target anything again. But that goes away if you leave the area. Do you have another controller that you could try? Perhapts borrow a friends? Mabey, just mabey its the controller, even if it works on other games. I don't know.... sorry.

Youve pretty much ruled out the disc by replacing it. Is it possible to borrow a copy of the game from a friend? A copy you know for sure works on their xbox. All I can tell you to do is rule out as many variables as possible.
