Anyone know if the legendary weapons found throughout the game are tied to the Gamertag, xbox, or just the save file?

Nope, it's actually the save file. The weapons you get change each file.

Cool thanks guys Guess I'll have to start an game on an offline profile to be my trader between real save games. How far through the story would I have to get the offline save? I can't remember at the moment.
