Limited Edition Content

So I ordered the limited edition when the game came out and redeemed the little codes that came with it, and had a blast with it.

Recently, though, my good ol' Xbox 360 finally gave up, and since the warranty had run out, I thought it was time to get a new one with a bigger HDD.

Now, I don't know how to get my exclusive limited edition content onto my new Xbox, as I already used the code and threw the pamphlet away, thinking that was good and done.

What should I do? :(

Re: Limited Edition Content

Do you still have your original HDD?

Re: Limited Edition Content

You should not have any problems re-downloading the Limited Edition content onto your new HDD provided you recover your Gamertag on your new HDD and continue using your current Gamertag on the new console.

When you purchase a digital product through Xbox Live, the product is permanently assigned to your Gamertag and you are free to migrate between as many HDDs as you wish without any penalties. You will not need to re-enter the code when your new 360 arrives; simply return to the Add-ons area of the Marketplace - Marketplace > Add-ons > Browse All > Fable II and you will be able to re-download the content at no extra charge.

Are you 100% certain that will work with extra content from Limited/Collector's Edition? I'm fairly certain that would only list the standard stock of DLC for Fable II....

I have already been at the download section for Fable II on the Xbox Marketplace, and all I get are videos, themes, avatar items, and the Knothole Island and See The Future DLCs. I cannot find the exclusive content I received with the LE there.

Re: Limited Edition Content

id suggest calling microsoft or the company you got the LE edition from and speak to them. who knows, they might give u a new one

Re: Limited Edition Content

Definitely consider Microsoft a call (as Evan52394 stated) but try the following first:

1. See if you can re-download the Limited Edition content via the online Marktetplace

2. Microsoft keeps a record of each and every download and purchase you have ever made (including DLC and demos) so be sure to check your Download History and the DLC should turn up somewhere in there - if so, you can opt to re-download.

Do let us know if it works!

Edit: Okay, I went ahead and went through my own DLC purchase history and here is the link to the Limited Edition content: http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-GB/games/offers/0ccf0001-0000-4000-8000-00004d5307f1

Provided you managed to successfully download it in the past then you should be free to do so again.

Re: Limited Edition Content

That's alot easier than what I was gonna suggest. Supposedly you can call Microsoft support and they'll send you a cable (for free?) which allows you to transfer stuff from one HDD to another.

That helped! I wasn't even aware that you could queue downloads from the PC to your Xbox.

Thank you very much for the help!
