Lionhead member Badges

i think this is a brilliant idea put forward by lionhead themselfs. It would be nice if this would happen here.

Member Badges

We don’t want to label people into certain groups, but we do want to point out to all members of the Lionhead community what certain members do or what they’ve achieved. This is why we’re using images, called badges, which are displayed on a user’s profile. For example Lionhead employees will have a Lionhead Dev badge, etc. Badges are given to people by Lionhead Administrators.

These are the badges currently in use:

These members are Moderators on the Lionhead Forums.

These members are part of the Lionhead development team.

Members of this group had Medium Karma reputation on the old Lionhead Forums.

Members of this group had High Karma reputation on the old Lionhead Forums.

These members are modding Lionhead games; mainly Black&White 2 and The Movies.

These members are being very helpful in the User Technical help forum.

Members in this group are running a fansite for one Lionhead's games.

This member is unique in the Loinhead Community, it has nothing to do with his or her size though.

These members are an example of good behavior and positive contribution to the community!

This is for members who have shown that they contribute to every forum, not just the game of their choice

Lurker is given to somebody who has been around for a while and posts maybe once a month, likely less

Oldbie is for those that have been here a very long time but are still active.

The forum moderators and admins pick a MotM who has contributed a lot over the past four weeks.

These members have been Member of the Month at some point.

These members should be avoided at all costs!!

Those badges look pretty darn sexy to me. I'll have a talk with DD next time he pops round my gaff' and see what we can come up with. I love the idea of adding more badges, personally. What does everyone else think?

I like the badge idea, and more of them would make it more interesting.

I like the member of the month idea.

Well we used to have the spotlight once a week. I liked that.

Well we used to have the spotlight once a week. I liked that.

The spotlight was used to get to know the members more and get an insight into the real people behind the usernames. It was done on a weekly basis to get to know as many of the members as we could. Having an award handed out every week would sort of make it feel less important as after a short time a lot of members would have won it. If it is one a month obviously only 12 members a year can win the award and guess that would make it look like a bigger accomplishment if you will.

I reckon we should definitely bring back the Weekly Spotlight! It was great but it stopped and I want it back!

Guess if we could find a suitable member with the right attitude and flare for it that it once had to bring it back and resurrect it then i dont see why not. I was a big fan of the feature to be honest and really enjoyed hearing more about the members. Think the staff should have a discussion about it and see what we could do to bring it back.
