Lionhead's First Decade

Recently, Lionhead hit it’s 10th Anniversary in the gaming industry, and to celebrate, Peter Molyneux along with Tim Rance and Mark Webley sat down with GamesIndustry.biz to discuss their memories and experiences throughout Lionhead’s growth and evolution as a company.

Peter Molyneux said:
This is the way I think about us now. We have had some very good excuses as to why our games haven’t been as good as they should have been. I still think that Black & White had a huge amount of flaws in it, I still think that Fable had a huge amount of flaws in it. And there are excuses for that. There’s time, there’s pressure, the small group, there’s being distracted…

But now, we haven’t got those excuses, so now, really, the next projects that we do are a true measure of our ability, our ambition, our passion. We’ve got all of that comfort, as Tim put it, to make a great game.

Re: Lionhead's First Decade

Im glad they have seen the error in their ways over the years and hopefully they will make up for their previous mistakes from now on.

Re: Lionhead's First Decade

A classic example of good judgment in the present coming from bad decisions in the past +rep for the post

Re: Lionhead's First Decade

Considering that their ideas are some of the best regardless, I can't wait to see how their games improve from here on.
