i'm attampting to do the scrifice for the maelstrom. I have my wife and three monks with over 2000 points at midnight but every time I do it, the guy says its not the unholiest of hours. I have already got the rising sun on the profile. does that have anything to do with it? SOS

did you get the rising sun legitemently or buying it online? to get it legit you have to chose to save te TOL---effectively killing the TOS. if u enetered the temple of shadows and you had to fight a bunch of shadows like balverines, that means the TOS is destroyed and u cannot get the maelstrom. I know, the guy still stands there in my game too, maybe a glitch, but he no longer serves any purpose.

If u did buy the rising sun online, i couldnt see how thatd affect anything. U may have hit a glitch or your not doing it right.

no I got the rising sun before helping either temple and now i'm doing the same with the maelstrom

o. maybe it doesnt work like that. you must sacrifice Oakfeild if u want it. and btw, not sure if you kno, Oakfeild is amazing if u save it. the temples huge and you can buy it and theres more houses to rent out and its just welcoming. id recommend saving the TOL cuz u get nothing other than the maelstrom for saving TOS, and just buy the maelsrtom off someone.

I've saved oakfield in other games. this time I'm gonna kill it and see what happens

you get to buy the TOS and u can get the maelstrom. pretty much it but i guess its good enough. the TOS doesnt expand though

You are sacrificing your wife at 12:00AM-1:00 right? Becuase you can get the sword at any time after you join the temple, as long as you have 2000 shadow points and you sacrifice your wife at 12:00AM-1:00AM.

aww too bad. I was hoping they would rebuild the Cathedral and Shadows would consume Rookridge and Oakfeild and make them two more Wraithmarshes. that would be fun

I am but he keeps on saying that its not the unholiest of hours :'(. I even tried doing it from 11:00-12:00 and 1:00-2:00...like a ninja :ninja:. Anyway, I think I'll follow Evans advice and just wait till after I sacrifice Oakfeild. Also, I was sacrificing Alex from that ghost quest as my wife so I don't know if that causing the problem or not

It shouldn't cause problems, but it wouldn't hurt to marry a gypsy and sacfrifice her to see if that would work.
