Manaless and Ageless

I'm one of those who have yet to play the game and I've become curious about how this 'unlimited' mana is like in play.
It seems like it would be a bit overpowering to me personally and make the game too easy.
Also do you age according to how much experience you have spent (i.e. Fable 1) or do you just age according to time anyway; and if that's the case will everyone be 40 year old's running around or can you stunt it somehow?
Hope you understand the questions, if you don't I'll endeavour to explain with a bit more detail; it's only curiosity you see. ;)

Re: Manaless and Ageless

The unlimited mana thing, to cast surround spells you have to charge them...it's really equal to the old game difficulty wise imo. No idea with the age thing

Agreed, like if you have to charge up to a level 4 spell you will likely take several hits while charging it, so it really is about the same to the old Fable.

I haven't found out the age thing either though.

Re: Manaless and Ageless

Age, you age more as you go through the story.
Because, would it make sense if your like 90, then you do
the spire quest, and age 10 years? lol.

The mana thing, do you think it's really fair that mages to have limited attacks? No.
As you spam though, the damage goes down.

Re: Manaless and Ageless

That's good then, though if it was a bit more difficult I'd have preferred it. The first Fable was a bit too easy in my opinion.
I guess it's not that big of a deal in retrospect though 'cause I used to walk around with 100+ mana potions at any one time anyway. :)
So I take it that eventually everyone will be a 40 year old?................
Hmmmm, I'm sure I'll find some way round it.
Let me know what you turn up Specter777. :)

So your saying everyone will be the same age once they've finished the game? (Just seen your post Chicken Chaser)
That seems rather worse than the original Fable.
At least you had a degree of control in Fable 1; I managed to be a 24 year old after the game had finished, by skillful use of temples and only using strength and physical shield upgrades. :D

Re: Manaless and Ageless

Not everyone will be 40 years old. There is a quest where you
will become an old person if you chose to do so.

Re: Manaless and Ageless

Lol, that ain't much help for me! :)
I'm wanting to be a 'young' hero.

Re: Manaless and Ageless

I finished the game (main story) and im around 40yrs in apperance. The rest of the people in the story dont appear to get any older though, minus your own children.

Re: Manaless and Ageless

Come on people, we have to pool our collective minds together and figure out a way to get the average age down.
I used to not like the fact Fable 1 made you into an old man in seconds (if you horded alot of experience and then spent it all at once), but I dislike even more being forced 'completely' to be the same age as any other guys character who's finished the game.
I guess if you want a 20 year old 'master hero' you'll have to kill aload of bees or whatever the lowest level creature is since from what I gather spending experience doesn't affect age.
Let me know if that is the case, because if spending experience points 'does' affect age I'll have to think of some other way around it. ;P
