There are many mansions/manors in fable 2 such as the graveyard one and castle fairfox and blood ston mansion, are there any more expensive massive builings?

yes, you can buy both the temple of shadows and temple of light. Not sure if you can get both in the same game though, if you skip the missions that destroys the buildings you may be able to, not sure.

Yeah I skipped the quests and they whacked the temple of light something decent.

I helped the temple of light, and the evil temple only had the one left in it, later when I came out of the Spire.

Not sure about Mansions, but you can go back and buy Thag's hut. You can buy the Inn in Rookridge after the 'something stinks' quest.

I am pretty disappointed that Westfall, after all the big changes to it - if you made that choice - has no other housing besides gypsy trailers. What are all those people living in? Anyone you marry from Westfall you have to set them up somewhere else cause they don't want to live in a gypsy trailer...

Its a quest which you must complete before you go to the Spire, it's even listed as one of the available quests
