Marital Home

Okay. My husband was whining about how crappy our house was, so I bought a new one and moved him in.


How can I sell/rent out the previous home now that no one is living in it?

Go upto the Sign thingy and go "Rent" "Sell" you get the jist

That'd be great, but the property paper doesn't give me that option.

It only gives me the option to redecorate or to set the budget.


I know for a fact that my family has moved into the new house, because my son who's still in the crib has relocated to the new property.

Ok.. Special house at all? (Just read your other post in another thread saying your house isnt special) If its the same one..

Hm. I'm having the same issue.
I moved my family to a new town.
And I can't do anything with the old home either ~.~

this happens - a house you set as marital home cannot be rented out or sold. One you set as "buy and move in with spouse" can be altered, I believe...but I'm just going on my personal profile.

Hey, I cant even set my house on the Bowerstone Marketplace as my marital home.. the sing only says ''sell,rent, and redecorate.. an my husband is talking about buying a house all the time. (quite annoying if you already bought one)

i have the same problem none of the houses i try to set as my marital home let me do it. 1 more thing is i cant have sex with my wife even though it says she wants sex. i take her to our house and all i can do is sleep in the bed but nothing else

I have that problem with every house I've set as a Marital home. In my case, the wives have left me. (Glitches. I'm actually an exceptional husband!) The marital home status seems to stick. The most annoying part is that I can't move a new wife into my favorite homes, so I've just given up on wives in this game. Maybe next time. At least I can set the budget to zero so they no longer drain my income.

lady joker and gsc u need to get your spouse to follow you to the new house then go up tot the sign and you should be able to set it as your marital home

i have a similar situation where i am engaged but i cant set castle fairfax as my marital home? can anyone help?

Just let this thread die lol... It's probably a glitch. Turn of your console, then turn it back on, and try again. If you don't have Xbox LIVE, it may have been an issue that was fixed in an update over that. Otherwise it's just a glitch that you'll have to mess around with a little bit.
