Mary?

Can someone please tell me: Why are there statues tht look like Mary,mother of Jesus (mabye not her but they look like her) The statues bronze, by the looks of it, with a wine bottle and a cup infront of it... you can hit the wine and it will dissapear. The person is wearing a hood. There are multiple ones not just tha one of them.

I've noticed them as well, actually. They are probably a religious symbol of the Temple of Light, I believe. Just like the Virgin Mary is used in the Catholic church, perhaps the Fable world too, uses a woman figure in their church.

But in Wraithmarsh? and Gemstone Grotto? and some other places? Can't be from temple of light, could it? Has to be somthang else. That is a good point tho.

^maybe advertisements? I have seen little billboards advertising a church thats 20 miles away, could be the same with Mary... I like to stick to my god: Firis though...

I don't know-- my assumption would be "random decoration" more than anything else. I haven't noticed it, but a hooded woman does make me think of Theresa.

Also, I think you deserve rep just for devoting so much thought to something so obscure and random. Congrats. Wish I had a more interesting theory, though.

This is one of those things that sounds like it SHOULD have an interesting story to go with it, but probably doesn't.

Thanx... My first thought was to do something but wat i thought was wrong obviously. Theresa u said? Never thought of her...Could it be something from Fable I? Like any temples that were there but not anymore? (I wouldn't know coz i never played it)

It could be, but the only temples shown in Fable I were the Temple of Avo in Witchwood and the Chapel of Skorm in Darkwood. Skorm was big on gargoyles and crap; Avo... actually, I can't think of any specific statues for Avo. But I don't THINK they used a robed, hooded woman.

OMD! This is soooo buggin' me now! Tha statue is holding thier forhead with one hand and holding wat looks lyke a reef in the other. So i'm thinking the statues mourning for something or someone. It might not be a woman actually. It's hard to tell if it's a man or a woman.
