Mass Effect 2

I just wanted to make a mass effect 2 topic to put all the info in. Also some info on Mass Effect 2 will blow people away - Mass Effect for Xbox 360 News - VideoGamer.com seems that it is already confirmed for pc , here is the quoted info "Speaking to VideoGamer.com at EA's Guildford HQ yesterday, BioWare's Senior Manager Matt Atwood shed some light on Mass Effect 2, teasing us with how brilliant the game will be. "How will it correlate to Mass Effect, the original? There's a lot of really exciting answers to that question. I think that people are going to be blown away," said Atwood. "I've learned some of the things. I don't mean to tease people. The teams are just so brilliant and the story writing is so good that straight out from the beginning of Mass Effect 2, people are going to be in awe." And what about the story of the second game? Atwood confirmed that Mass Effect 2 would continue the story and that it won't be a prequel. "The story was always written as an arc, so they are meant to stand alone as great games to play individually, but even better if you play them all, because you get the entire experience, and there are quite a few twists - there'll be quite a few things that people will not expect." Gamers wanting to know how your crew and characters will be carried over to the sequel will have to wait a little longer for the info, but Atwood did reassure us that BioWare is working on it. "As far as keeping your crew, and keeping your characters, and bringing them into Mass Effect 2, I don't want to get that specific with regards to what will happen, but I will tell you that things you did and people you interacted with in Mass Effect... you may very well meet up with them again, whether it be the main character or other characters. Other characters take on more significant roles and there's plenty of folks you haven't met yet." Matt was also kind enough to demo the PC version of Mass Effect. For all the details on what's been changed in the port from 360 to PC head over to our full Mass Effect PC first-look." I put it into quotes since projectego.net's quote signs don't seem to work

More info on cvg : News: BioWare: Mass Effect 2 questions still to be answered - ComputerAndVideoGames.com

Though not super informative:)

BioWare still has a number of vitally important questions to be answered in regards to Mass Effect 2, the developer's revealed to CVG.

"How do we make what you did in the first game affect what's happening in the second game?... Who is the main character? Who will re-appear in the game?" senior PR manager Matt Atwood said of the follow-up to its critically acclaimed sci-fi RPG during an interview last week.

These are key ideas currently being kicked around at the studio according to Atwood, who says that dramatically Mass Effect 2 will make us all go "wow" virtually right from the word go.
"Mass Effect really is all about dramatics and cinematics and choices and exploration", he added on the sequel, "and I think we'll expand in each of those areas".

BioWare's only speaking generally in regards to Mass Effect 2 at the moment, but Atwood continued, "There is a story arc already written for the whole thing... I do know that the level of impact from a wow factor, a dramatic factor, is going to be really quite compelling in the next game. I think people are going to be thrilled".

As reported last week, BioWare expects Mass Effect 2 to be exclusive to Xbox 360 "for a short period of time" before it releases for PC. But when is the developer actually planning to launch the sequel?

"I will tell you it won't be three and a half years or four years, which is what the first one took to create", Atwood said when asked about release timings.

"Beyond that we haven't disclosed anything. We'd like to see it soon, but as the old saying goes, we will sell no wine before it's time.

"The team's working hard already but they're going to make sure it's just right... hopefully [it will be] sooner than later... I don't know if it's sooner that you expect, or what you expect, so we'll just wait and see and once we're ready to divulge the date, we'll let you know."

We're waiting...
