Meet 'Hogzilla'.

2_21_052507_MonsterPig.jpg

An 11-year-old Alabama boy used a pistol to kill a wild hog that just may be the biggest pig ever found.

Jamison Stone's father says the hog his son killed weighed a 1,051 pounds and measured 9-feet-4 from the tip of its snout to the base of its tail. Think hams as big as car tires.

If the claims are accurate, Jamison's trophy boar would be bigger than Hogzilla, the famed wild hog that grew to seemingly mythical proportions after being killed in south Georgia in 2004.

Hogzilla originally was thought to weigh 1,000 pounds and measure 12 feet in length. National Geographic experts who unearthed its remains believe the animal actually weighed about 800 pounds and was 8 feet long.

After seeing the pig in person, taxidermist Jerry Cunningham told The Anniston Star it was "the biggest thing I'd ever seen ... it's huge.

Now, I don't know about you, but if I saw that thing charging at me, I would probably soil myself.

Thoughts?

Re: Meet 'Hogzilla'.

Killing that damn think with a bazooka would seems hard enough - a handgun impossible! I mean, the blubber/fat/whatever ought to be thick enough to absorb bullets before they hit any vital organs... must've been a headshot.

Re: Meet 'Hogzilla'.

Thats crazy... look at the damn size of it!

Thing thats confusing me is, how was this thing not spotted sooner?... i mean it would be hard not to see or hear.

Re: Meet 'Hogzilla'.

..So much..piggy

Re: Meet 'Hogzilla'.

They estimated it could make 700 pounds of sausage. I'm going pig hunting this Fall, the biggest I'll get will be around 350 pounds...

Re: Meet 'Hogzilla'.

I'm not too sure I would eat any of that though - one can't but wonder what made it so big. If there is something Hollywood and Gaming has thought me is that there is that there can only be one thing that qualifies: Toxic/Nuclear waste...:O

Re: Meet 'Hogzilla'.

Sad that he killed it. What an amazing creature it must have been.

Re: Meet 'Hogzilla'.

Imagine how much food that thing has to eat each day to sustain itself! :O

Re: Meet 'Hogzilla'.

Talk about a PIG. i think i know who ate all the pies.

Re: Meet 'Hogzilla'.

Now that is one spitroast I'd be the first in line for...mmm...spitroasted piggy...so juicy and tender and yummy and *trails off into unintelligible drooling*

Yes, it was probably an amazingly delicious creature...

Re: Meet 'Hogzilla'.

whoa....that things huge...just think of the feast u could have....*drools*...anyway..how the hell did he get away w/ killing it w/ a handgun?????

Re: Meet 'Hogzilla'.

That pistol had to be a .450 Smith and Wesson at least, if not a .454 Casul. Its not a .500 S&W, but a pistol that large can easily take down a Grizzly Bear.
