Memorial Day Thanks
I know that Memorial Day was yesterday, but I didn't think to do this then. Since, conveniently, the original pre-all-Federal-holidays-on-Monday date is tomorrow, making this comment today is a nice compromise.
So, thanks to all the soldiers who gave or are giving their lives, their time, and their bodies in service of their people, from all around the world.
Thanks particularly from me to my grandpa, who served in WWII and Korea as a USN gunner and mechanic on a PB4Y-2 Privateer.
Here, in memory of the soldiers, aviators, and sailors who have served, and in thanks to those who serve now, is a red carnation, which is, apparently, a once-traditional Memorial Day piece of attire.
And, in memory of my grandpa, and image of a Privateer:
And thanks to the random sites from whence I "borrowed" the images.
