Major Nelson has requested that community members share their suggestions for improving Microsoft’s offerings...

“As you know, I work on the Xbox LIVE product team… Early next week I am attending a small internal meeting where many of the key service decision makers from across the company are going to get together and have an open discussion about our service offerings, compare practices, and talk strategy. What do you think we don't 'get'? What makes us not as good?"

“If you had ten minutes with the CTO of Microsoft, what kind of advice would you offer? What questions would you ask? During the two day meeting, I'll be sharing some of the comments here with the attendees to let them know what the community thinks of the companies offerings and strategy. So go ahead and be honest, I’m listening and I’ll share it with the right people next week.”

You can head on down there to voice your opinions (if you feel it's worth it.) - What would you say to leaders of services at Microsoft ? - Xbox Live's Major Nelson

As you can see by the already posted comments (430, and counting), the highest request is a price drop in Xbox Live service, or to even go as far as making the downloadable content free. Personally, i would love for the Gamerpics & Themes of my favorite games to be free, instead of having to pay money for each "single" gamerpic and theme. Or, an even better idea.. Make all Downloadable Game content (themes, gamerpics, bonus material) free for Gold Subscribers, if they feel it's too painful to make it free for both Gold & Silver. I mean, Gold Subscribers are already paying $50 for online multi-play, and "some" Gold Restricted downloadable content, why not go the extra step and make everything else free for them?
