The Gearbox and new Halo rumour has been going on sometime and recently resurfaced again when Gearbox President, Randy Pitchford, responded awkwardly to a Halo question put forward to him by
Eurogamer.
"It's no secret that we have some other things in development," Pitchford commented. "Is one of those Halo?" asks Eurogamer with Pitchford responding awkwardly, "haha! We're not going to talk about anything."
Today, Microsoft's official Halo Waypoint (the upcoming Halo hub) Twitter account
recently tweeted, "for the record, Gearbox is NOT working on a Halo title for Microsoft." So if it's not Bungie or Gearbox, who could it be? Or could this be some elaborate smoke screen? Where would the games industry be without all this drama? I love it.
