Microsoft’s Shane Kim believes the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV will be the best selling version of the game. And for good reason.
While Microsoft has yet to publicly announce why the company is so sure the 360 will sell more copies of GTA IV than the PS3, XF has learned about FREE content that will be offered to those who pre-ordered GTA IV and pick up the game on launch day.
Details are still slim on whether the free content will be one of the episodes that Microsoft paid an arm and a leg for, but we wouldn’t be surprised. Ensuring that GTA IV sells more copies on the 360 is the best way to ensure you have a customer to buy the next episodic content that is made available. We will definitely post more information when we learn exactly what the free content will be.
In a related GTA IV story, it seems Rockstar has taken a page from the Halo handbook and has been pitching sales and distribution ideas to convenient stores. We’ve been told that representatives for the publisher have already spoken to a major chain whose name has two numbers that rhyme with one another.
As the launch of GTA IV gets closer, we expect both Sony and Microsoft to do everything they can to ensure customers lean towards their particular version of the game. One thing is for sure; this game is going to sell big. But you already knew that.

Didnt Microsoft pay £50 million for bonus exclusive content for the 360 version some time ago? Also there are many more Xbox 360 owners than PS3 owners, so by process of elimination it would be surprising if it DIDNT sell more.

MicroSoft keeps learning and comparing it with Ps3

I think the 360 takes it. More users, graphics mostly equal or better, online cooler and ease of development, price . Even squaresoft is putting in more time into the next Final Fantasy so to see if the PS3 can match number with the 360

Microsoft was the newbourn with the last generation of gaming consoles.

Playstation was the Big boy. Now playstation is a haggered old man limping along with a cane, or perhaps scooting around in one those rascal powerchair things.

Nintendo is about like the faithful little puppy that does tricks for dog bones.

Microsoft wants to kill the puppy and burry the old man. They are trying like hell too. I wouldn't be surprized if MS stays the dominant force in console games for a few years. They allready helped kill off sega.
