Modern Warfare 2 Gets Its Call of Duty Back

It looks like Infinity Ward and Activision got cold feet releasing Modern Warfare 2 without the Call of Duty brand name, and have slapped the moniker back on.

Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward's community manager, tweeted the latest cover for the title and in doing so revealed the reattachment of the Call of Duty brand name. A wise move if you ask me because I'd hate to see the game not perform as it should because of a marketing gamble.

The cover looks like an early prototype at the moment and I hope for my eye's sake that they make the Call of Duty brand look a little more natural ... rather than a straight copy and paste job. At the moment, it looks pretty damn fugly!

The cover art doesn't look 'all there' to me. I dunno why, but I'm sure it'll be alright when the game is released.

Dont doubt Infinity Ward, they have never screwed up yet. Only thing i think they slipped up on was not releasing more map packs for console versions online and not making any real DLC. People wanted more ranks and unlockables but they never came, hopefully Modern Warfare 2 changes that.
