Recent Skyrim news from Todd Howard, just expanding on previous stuff:
More Skyrim Details - Graphics, World, Dragons

Graphics
The inventory meny has also gotten some polish, with flash-based previews allowing you to rotate and examine every item in the game, from weapons and armour to accessories and ingredients. This feature will be used for puzzle-solving, occasionally. The series' famous collection of books and texts make a return, but this time as readable 3D models rather than the walls of text from the earlier games.

World, Story and Mechanics

The "low fantasy" world of Skyrim is said to be "approximately" the size of Oblivion's, and equipped with fast travel to previously visited locations, as well as containing 5 major cities and 130 dungeons, each featuring a greater variety of traps and puzzles.
Miscellaneous
Todd Howard confirmed that the Xbox 360 version will not be supporting Kinect, and that the fan-favourite Dark Brotherhood will be making a return. Contrary to statements made in Game Informer, Howard denied the possibility of combining magical effects.

Dark Brotherhood! YES! I hope Wes Johnson will be making a return.

Glad to hear that they will be adding a variety of caves and traps etc in as the copy and paste design of some of the caves in Oblivion ruined the mystery a little. Also like the sound of the new examine feature, that would be great. Hope they increase the use of items too as i was sick of finding useless items in chests and crates that served no purpose whatsoever.

five major cities and roughly the same size as oblivion?
considering there were 8 major cities in oblivion (9 if you count kvatch) it looks like there will be much more wilderness play. more cave/ruins exploration... hopefully a smoother way of mountain climbing.
sounds fun.

noob question: anyone know what "anti-aliasing" means? they used it in the article when pointing out the difference between console and pc versions, i think.

Anti-Aliasing is the smoothing of a rendered image, so there will be little to no jagged edges on objects & characters depending on the settings.

so in essence "All three will look just as good, aside from the higher resolution and the anti-aliasing of the PC of course."
means that the console versions will have a more "jagged" appearance than the PC?

Yep, also due to the fact that a good number of PC gamers these days have PCs capable of producing better anti-aliasing than the PS3 & 360 and rendering the game at a higher resolution.

this makes me so glad that i'm getting a new PC soon.
:D

360 normally manages AA pretty well too but the PS3 has been known to have issues with it.
