More Titles

Remember in Fable 1. The enormous amount of titles a person could be called? There was at least 50 of the. In Fable 2 there are barely 15. Don't you want the enormous amount of titles back? You could be called anything. I missed being called Assassin, or Ranger. By bringing back titles. The Players of this game become more unique.

Re: More Titles

Yeah, I hope for more titles as well - more often than not I was either called Master Chief, Dog Moles.. er Lover, or Chosen One.

Re: More Titles

I'd like for certain titles to be unavailable unless you meet the requirements not just free if you do.

Well there was the king and queen ones.
But then i'd want certain titles to be unlockable via completing quests.

Re: More Titles

I'd like the same feature they have in DiRT 2 where it has a list of names to choose from, you click one and that's what people call you. Of course, since it's a fictional game LionHead could have some fun with this.

Well basically thats the same in fable except you can change your name and there aren't much choices. (haven't you noticed...?)

Yeah. But my name's Joe.. So in DiRT, I chose Joe. So the announcers and the superstars call me Joe. I mean actual names not retarded titles that only influence what the villagers say. Names not titles.

And before anyone says "That's not fun. This is years ago and modern names wouldn't fit!" this is why "Lionhead could have some fun with this." Since I'm Joe, I could choose Joelep... Or something more imaginative or better.

Fable 2 had more titles. It had 23. TLC only had 19.

Lol really? It seemed like TLC had Way more. Like I was able to go down a long list. And Then there were different title vendors too. I go to the arena find a whole new set to choose from.

I guess you're right about certain stuff. Because Like many people, (like me) don't have English names

Re: More Titles

i want the voices to be able to read the name you input. only then will i have true freedom of choice....

Re: More Titles

I'd like names that would be names instead of titles.

Like Sparrow in Fable II, a NAME.

Or Maleficus, lots more Heroic epic names instead of titles.

Like a Name is what family and friends call you. Fans call you by your title.

Wife: I love you SPARROW
Fan: Lord Uber Death Master of Darkness and Shadow, we greatly appreciate your help in these cold times. You bring peace and happiness.

I would like that as well, but it would most likely result in countless mispronunciations.

We could always input like how to pronounce. With those special accents you put on characters and stuff. (like in a dictionary)

Well, their characters are already named things like "Theresa," "Garth," "Arthur," and so on. The most outlandish you get is probably "Garth," which is a real, if odd, name and "Maze."

Most people had generic Anglo-style names.

They broke it up more, but they had more. Just varied what you could choose with where you were.

But no, I like the titles. Having a limited number of names would end up seeming more restrictive, I think. Like I'm "Jesse" (but please stick to calling me Walker here, I'm more comfortable with that) and if they didn't hit that it'd annoy me. Or if I was named something else and they didn't have it. With the titles, no one had their real name, but most people could find some suitably heroic title to take.

And I'd like to point out that I never thought "Sparrow" was the F2 hero's actual birth name. It seemed like a nickname his/her sister gave him/her. Close enough to a birth name, but different. Possibly because a sparrow took a dump on his head, who knows?

Re: More Titles

I honestly didn't really care what they called me I found choosing a title just a thing they put in there to amuse people

Re: More Titles

I like the idea of names aswell. It doesn mean a lot more voice acting has to be done, though. And if there's that pronunciation thing, that would be even more intricate and complicated to implement. It's not just Microsoft Sam we're talking about, we've got multiple voice actors to imput every different syllable, different accents to be concerned with. WAY too complicated.
