Movements

does anyone else think that the movements in Fable were sluggish? I think that the sword combat was repetitive and boring (I liked killling people anyway) but they should make the combat very fast and more fun. What do you guys think on this?

Re: Movements

Its already improved in Fable 2. Look at some videos posted on here.

Re: Movements

I think it was fine. Fables style is..just that. Fable. I enjoy cleaving away at enemies more than I like using magic. I didn't think it was that repetitive. There's also so many animations you can program into a game.

Those videos are not fable 2. they're just showing what Peter wants to happen to games in the future. I've not seen any Fable 2 combat videos. Let alone a preview

Re: Movements

Ah, sorry I thought it was a preview.

But if he can do that, I'm sure he can put it into fable 2...

Re: Movements

I'm not really up on RPG movements and the sluggishness thereof, but I actually preferred things a little slower - I'm not too quick on the old controllers and if something is too speedy I have a tendency to scream and throw things...

 Speedy things can be a little scary. Especially in games like Resident Evil 4. i'm very jumpy.

Re: Movements

Like in a scary movie, if a ghost slowly walks across the screen and yells, its not gonna be very scary..

Re: Movements

Ahh, but the slow creepy movements of Silent Hill monsters can be just as scary...Devil May Cry is impossible for me coz the characters are too fast for me...especially those weird dagger shooting thingies in the Bloody Palace.

Re: Movements

Devil may cry is so fast, it turns up the speed of your brain and things become slow - Its Awesome!

Re: Movements

I can only play it if I have the thing that makes you all demon-y and invincible...

Re: Movements

Well that is pretty handy!

Re: Movements

Oops, my mistake -you're not quite invincible but you're proper hard and it takes a lot to beat you...Steve's just informed me that it's the devil trigger thingy...or maybe Nelo Angelo or whatever....I don't know.

I should really check out Steve's other site cheeky sneaky link droppage for my info...

Re: Movements

Yeah its devil trigger, Nelo Angelo is awesome though.

Re: Movements

Never played Devil. I am a deprived child. I went from a Sega Saturn, to the Xbox, so you know. I have played a few PS1 & 2 games not many though. Off Topic.

I actually liked the heavy styled combat, it does need a few improvements but not many, The shear wieght and force of the heavy weapons was great, i really am into all things Celtic however, and am attempting to save money to buy a Galowglass, and a Lowlander- those are sword by the way. the Lowlander is a 6ft bland the Galloglass is an english Broard sword known for inspiring he scots to forge the Claymore.

Re: Movements

What you mean in real life!? Sweet lol you should post a few photos.

Re: Movements
