Multiplayer issues

A friend tried joining my game but she wasnt allowed as she did not have same dlc as me, i tried t join hers but same issue there.

surely this was thought out, not reasonable to assume everyone will buy the same stuff, when using another profile on this box there wasnt an issue and the whole point of me getting this game was to play with 2 friends online, is there a way around it?

yes, though i think i worked out why, hopefully the dlc wont apply to all dlc as that will be moronic but she didnt even download the free weapons!

I mean come on they are free to download, free to use in the game, without them you dont get a weapon til you get a job or have other dlc weapons and the morphing of the weapons are linked the main story line.
