My child doesn't age?

I got a lil' child called cathy yesterday and she hasn't grown one bit. I have completed some quests, ive slept but nothing works.

You must complete the Spire Challenge for your child to age. It is after the cruciable

i had a kid after the Spire, and I think after I did a few quests he grew up to a toddler. I don't know what I did though I probably did a primary quest

also kids only grow up to toddlers i think yea pretty crappy. :[
