my children are stuck in the orphanage

i have this glitch which means i cant interact with my children only hold hands so someone suggested that i fire my nannys and pick up my kids from the orphanage but when igo to the orphanage nothing appears for me to adopt them like the a button thing isnt there anymore. i am the queen of albion if that makes a difference.

i did manage to adopt one of the kids which wasnt mine already so i have no idea whats wrong and if it can be fixed. any help would be great. thanks guys.

a thing shows up when im near them showing their name and relationship with me but no a button to adopt them though the person running it keeps telling me to adopt one

I've been rolling on that same save for 2 years now. I have 1000s of freezes caused by this issue. I would simply cut your losses and make new babies. After all, you have a womb of steel or someone else does.
