My Dilemma.

I'm a poor college student. I can buy myself F3 on preorder or I can wait and my mom will give it to me for Christmas.

[sobs] I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DOOOOO!

Yes. And don't ***** because you can't get a good education and work at the same time. I put myself through college with a job and graduated with honors. If you don't wanna go that route, then just buy it yourself because you're going to feel extremely left out if everyone one of us is chatting excitedly about it online and you can't because you have to wait a few more months.

Re: My Dilemma.

Can I say **** you both? Irrationally, I am ****ed off by your comments.

I'm holding down one job, the same one I have worked since 2006, working an (unpaid) internship, and I'll be getting the qualification to umpire softball and baseball games when the classes start up in the winter (which pays pretty good money.)

On the other hand, I'm a cheap sonuva***** and don't really have all that much spare time. So, if I wait until Christmas I a) get it for free as a present and b) get it when I don't have anything to do except work and go take the classes for umpiring.

But thank you for your wonderful advice anyway. And would you look at that? I seem to have made a decision.

Oh, and I figure out why I was ****ed. I SAID I could buy it myself. That was option A. What part of that would imply that I was one of the many, many lazy ****ers whose parents pay for them to live on campus and spend so much time making out with a toilet bowl post-weekend?

Re: My Dilemma.

I apologize. I am just extremely used to the students at Notre Dame. Spoiled, entitled, and unwilling to work. Then again, it's hard to keep down a full time job and take classes at a University like Notre Dame, so I suppose I should be a bit more forgiving. Anyway, don't take it so hard, I didn't mean it really even torward you, just people in general. Irritated me all through college. Still does. Sorry dear!

Re: My Dilemma.

A person like you should never waste money on petty games.

Get it free on Christmas like me, and get the Demo when it comes out.

Demo? Fable 1 and Fable 2 didn't have one. I can't see 3 having one.

As to give you my opinion: pre-order it / get it yourself. Especially if you like all the extras with it (e.g. the ability to import the villager from villager maker, and all the extra items from the CE) and whatnot (either the collector's edition or normal one). Fable 3 is worth whatever money you have got. ^_^

Hell, Fable 3 is worth everything I've got! Definitely pre-ordering Fable 3 LCE/CE/LE (or whatever the official term is) in a week or two, for about €75,00.

Fable 2 had that downloadable chapters, and the first was free, i think thats what he meant

Re: My Dilemma.

Well, Fable is my very favorite game series, so there's no way in hell I'd miss the limited edition or getting it the day that it comes out (The Fable 2 LE was a different story because I dislike halo). So if you feel anything like that, you should get it on the day that it comes out and ask for some other game that you want for Christmas. That's what I'm doing since I don't have all that much money these days either.

Re: My Dilemma.

Make sure you pre-order the LE in-case you want to get it. From what I've heard, these tend to be sold out very quickly.

I should apologize to you two. You hit one of my berserk buttons. I work part-time, make about $6,000 a year, and since my ntuition is about $8,000 a year and I didn't have as much saved as I would have liked, I've had to borrow money from my parents recently. Plus, they let me drive the car they pay for and technically own whenever I need it, and I haven't paid my insurance in more than a year, so they've been covering that, too.

Self-guilt=rage.

I honestly don't. Cool ****, yes, but not worth that much money. So I wait, avoid the forums for a few months, and I'll be just as happy.

Esse? Who the hell is esse?

And yes, offense was meant. They implied quite openly that I was a completely parasitic sonuva***** who'd prefer to **** around than do what I need to.

And no, I'm not a happy person. I'm a bitter, angry jackass who just started school again. That sucks.

Re: My Dilemma.

10 $ (€ or £, whatever) a week and you will be able to buy Fable 3. If you really can't save 10 $€£ a week, I think you can avoid this game and wait for Christmas. I mean, if you can't save up 60-70 interwebs in 2 months, I think you should think to stop this very expensive hobby at least for 3-4 months.

Re: My Dilemma.

Walker, is it your time of the month again?

Why don't you get your oh-so-generous husband to buy it for you? That's what I did :D

Oh, wait...

I would like to reiterate: I have money. I could pay for it. But it is not a... responsible use of what money I have.

Oh, wait...

It is, it is. I'll be bleeding like crazy in no time at all. Nah, I dumped 'im. The scum.

I suffer from the curse of responsibility. Plus, I'm the one paying for most of my schooling, so... yeah, don't want to waste my own cash.

Re: My Dilemma.

Are you able to get the Limited Edition one? If not, wait until Christmas. The wait will be worth it and you could put that money towards another game or something else you really want.

Re: My Dilemma.

As I said before, able, yes; willing, no.

Re: My Dilemma.

I understood your issue, but if you REALLY want this game sooner than Christmas you have to save up more money than you are doing now. If you can't/won't do it, wait for Christmas, that's all. It depends on how much you really want Fable 3, but if you are in economic-troubles, don't buy it, without thinking about it, 'cause there are a lot of things with higher priority.
