My Fuji FinePix F31fd Digital Camera Has Finally Arrived

Hurrah! My first ever digital camera, the Fuji FinePix F31fd has finally arrived and I can't wait to start taking some snaps! I decided to buy this digital camera after reading a bunch of reviews online and since it received 'Highly Recommended' status on both the Digital Camera Resource and Digital Photography Review - I just went ahead and treated myself. I was torn for the longest time between the Fuji FinePix and the Canon Powershot A550, but in the end the reviews swung it for me.

But yeah, it's my first digi-cam ever and I'm looking forward to capturing some pictures of my family and posting them in the gallery whenever my LCD screen protector arrives.

Just curious now: What kind of digital cameras do you guys have? Any tips for a digital photography newbie?

Tip, do not use the flash during daylight... thats what makes the difference between my photos and my grandma's vacation-photos...

Cool. Shame you guys across the pond don't get the courtesy digital camera carry case thrown in with every order. Still, it's only the equivalent to about $20. But yeah, it's a great price for a Fuji FinePix F31fd in my opinion.

Tip, do not use the flash during daylight... thats what makes the difference between my photos and my grandma's vacation-photos...

Aw, a lousy 2.3MP Finepix A205 S... but i use a real camera for taking photos, or i lend my friends 7MP camera if i dont want to wait for the photolab to send me the pictures.
My granddad left me tons of photoequipment so i got some stuff to play around with

Ugh. I have every camera. And I mean every camera. My dad's a big photo buff, and he gave me a few when I went off to college, so I could take pics. I've barely used em but I know enough about em. Best tip I can give you: get Photoshop. And get a good camera.

I mostly use my Camera Phone actually since I have it with me all the time. I need to get a microSD card for it so that I can get the pictures off it

My dads got a waaay fancier camera then that, but then again, hes a big camera nerd. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it? My dad payed like $800 for his... Which is about 333 pounds or $672 American...

Nothing near as much was spent on this camera - Steve would have had a heart attack! It cost about £120 - no idea what that is in American...

Looking forward to swiping it for my trip to Rome next year...

I have a Canon PowerShot A410. Not the best but it works.
