my sword caught fire

now i dont think it was doing this before but i have the solous greatsword and i added a sharpening augy to it went to a shop the weopons one in snowsphire did the easy money thong buy buying all the augys and selling them back then i left the shop and i noticed my sword glowing red and then i relized it was fire:( and i was all like wtfO.o so i went back into the shop and saw a fire(gasp) and i was confused because i was like a sword cant catch on fire but it was i cant get a pic cause its on xbox but someone tell me if the fire is normal im really confused:wacko:. u guys need better smileys on this site like a gasp smiley anyway so yae tell me what u can.

Re: my sword cought fire

i figured it probably wasnt normal because i broke into someones house and slept and then there was no more fire

Re: my sword cought fire

Only way i know you get fire on a blade is with Flame Augmentation as your right blades dont 'catch' on fire sounds odd anyway.

Re: my sword cought fire

It might have been the Multi Strike spell, that looks like fire in someways. That or our friend just found a new glitch.

Re: my sword caught fire

wtf is the multi strike spell
anyway the same sort of thing happened i started a new profile and im evil this time so i go to do the trader escort mission and i pay the 400 gold to get threw the bandit camp but it wasnt my sword on fire it was one of bandits bows like the tip of arrow

Re: my sword caught fire

Multi-Strike is one of the will powers you can purchase. It basically, when activated, gives you more hits per swing than you normally do. For example, if you get it higher, everytime you'd hit something with it on, it'll hit the enemy for x number of times more. I think mine is in the middle so everytime I use the spell and I hit an enemy, it hits it four times for everytime my sword hits the creature.

Re: my sword caught fire

I would think that it would have been a glitch. Because I doubt the sword would catch fire like the way you described to all of us.

Re: my sword caught fire

And the fire on the arrow is normal, they are Flaming Arrows of Banditness!

Re: my sword caught fire

I know but I was talking about the sword that was not normal

Re: my sword caught fire

I am going with glitch on this one.

Re: my sword caught fire

As I have already agreed

Re: my sword caught fire

Soup, are you sure it was the Solus GS you augmented because for starters the Solus is a lengendary weapon pre-equipped with augments and one of them is the Flame Augmentation. You cant equip any more augments to it. The Solus is indeed pretty firey though so I would just assume that it was the fire augment and disagree with most peoples conclusion that it was a glitch.

Re: my sword caught fire

I believe it's a glitch. Even with the flame augmentation, a weapon doesn't exactly catch fire. A red glow surrounds it, then fades and surrounds it again, but never really catches fire.

I have to disagree, the flame augmentation makes the weapon appear as if it is on fire - especially if it's the only aug attached to it. If the weapon has more then one aug, it will cycle through each type continously.

Shame you can't add more augs - to make your legendary weapons more personal to you, making "it" your legendary weapon so to speak.

Not only that, I think they should add a specialized blacksmith in the game from the netherworld to appear after you completed the game that asks you what you want from a weapon and have him name "said epic weapon" after you, in your honor - be it evil or herioc.

It didn't to me..but then again, I'm pretty nearsighted...

Re: my sword caught fire

The Solus Greatsword does indeed appear to have a ripple of flame along it every now and then. And this is indeed due to the Flame Augmentation.

Re: my sword caught fire

if i remember rightly on pc version it has flame but not on x box ... or is it vise versa?
