need help with getting maelstrom sword

ok, I married 2 people, got them to follow me, and then like 4 0r 3 monks. i sacrificed them all at midnight and i only got 1400 points. what the hell am i doing wrong? i thought it would be more than enough, and i can't get more people to follow me. I need help!!!!

btw I didn't go to the Spire yet I just finished the Crucible quest i have like 8000 renown. do i have to sacrifice them all at the same time or can I do it gradually?

you need 2000 points and it doesn't need to be all at once

One of the things you need is like over 2500 or 2000. Then you do the sacrafice at midnight. Plus you can find better weapons than the Maelstorm.

Lets be honest though. The Maelstrom looks soooo good if you're evil.

and it makes slicing up those gaurds just so much easier then again its pretty easy already
