Need help with making a backupfile!

Please take me step trough step on how to make a backup file! I am new, so plz explain clearly. Don't just say, "go to the something folder", tell me HOW to get to that folder and everything!

No ones going to just sit here and explain everything to you step by step. Like Old Boy said you need PATIENCE and you need to READ everything. Old Boy already anwered your question here as well: http://forums.projectego.net/f26/

Lesson 1
Make backups of your gamefiles!!!
You don't have to, but I'd recommend to do this when you start messing with them.
Of course you can always reinstall the game, but that takes a lot more time then replacing the screwed files with the backups.

Files to backup:
Game.bin
Script.bin
Text.big
Textures.big
Graphics.big
Effects.big
FinalAlbion.wad

By default these files can be found in the subfolders in:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Fable - The Lost Chapters\Data

How to make a backup:
Click one a file once. Press 'ctrl' and 'c'. Then press 'ctrl' and 'v'.

And if you need anymore help, ask for it in one of the three threads you've already made instead of making a new one.

BUT...BUT....what is the subfolders????

sorry to prove you wrong

1: Go to C/program files/microsoft games/fable
2: Back up any folder that you think you may want to mod by right clicking the file, left clicking copy and then pasting that folder to another location.

If you cant understand that, then i cant help you.

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but it says that exact thing at the bottom of what I quoted.

Assuming you are on Windows XP; "My Computer".

It goes in that order...

C Drive
Program Files Folder
Microsoft Games Folder
Fable Folder

Game.bin
Script.bin
Text.big
Textures.big
Graphics.big
Effects.big
FinalAlbion.wad

*groans* The WAD extraction messes up the whole thing, it wont load.....

do i need a wad extraction? cause it aint working with it, the wad makes it unable 2 load

all it says is checking, and if i click on the thing that says albion explorer, it mentions hte wad file,,,,,,

ughhh how do i extract the wad? cause the way i am doing right now doesnt let me

oh yeah, my mistake.

Briarrose, if you want the problem fixed like i do, then read what they write CAREFULLY, and be patient with them, they could just decide not to hep you if they wanted. Calm down a little and be patient, you will get albion explorer fixed.
