Need help with shadow religion and temple

Hi,
earliy in the game I was ranked evil and went to the shadow temple and talk to a person in front of the temple and ate a baby chick and got accepted to the shadow religion. Then I was able to use the wheel of fate and sacrife people. After fooling around in the game a started doing quests, like diging up the diary by the troll. And seeing a monk funeral with sister hannah.
After all this I marry and take my wife to the shadow temple to sacrife her but when I got ther the shadow men where no longer there only demons, and I could not use the wheel of fate.



The question is how do I become a shadow worshiper again where I can use the wheel of fate and sacrife people again?

Note: This glitch may require a few attempts. Take some villagers to the Temple Of Shadows to sacrifice them. After you have pulled the lever, quickly turn off Safety mode. If you are lucky, you will get Shadow Creature as a sacrifice. Quickly kill the villagers before they disappear. They will remain there as Shadow Creatures and not disappear. Their body will continue to smoke as a Shadow Creature.

Have you finished the spire yet? Not sure how exactly it works but sometimes the temple of shadows collapses and there religion dies out (vice versa for the light temple if your supporting the shadows) SO maybe you did something wrong?
