is this some new call of duty? is it sure to be released? if so it would probably be a great game. really enjoyed the fourth one

This WWII scenario is getting real old. cod4 was a blessing to get away from the WWII franchise.. meh, oh well, they lost me on this one :'(

Its weird ive heard so many rumours and such about COD 5. First Infinity Ward say they arent making it and Treyarch are having the rights to it again so Infinity Ward can continue COD 4 support. Then i hear rumours that Treyarch want to go more modern and not WWII and then some others that say Treyarch will infact be doing WWII. Im a member of the Infinity Ward website as im a big Call Of Duty fan and even i have no idea what will happen in the end. All i know is im tired of WWII and COD 4 was a massive breath of fresh air to the series.

Would be a MAJOR step backwards with the weaponry i mean people already tire of the WWII guns. I wouldnt mind the WWI setting and such but the weapons would try most peoples patience with the technology they are used to today.

CoD 5 would be an overkill. I believe that the only way another Call of Duty would work is that:

1: It's not in WW2 or any further in the past
2: Infinity Ward makes it (which is highly unlikely since they said they would not make another)

It has been proven (by the COD games not made by IF) that only Infinity Ward should wear the Call of Duty helm. I felt that the ones not made by them were repeats.

I believe if anything, another Call of Duty 4 should be a continuation of the story or a flash forward in time.

Meanwhile, just keep playing CoD4, IF gave us an awesome single and multi-player system to have fun with. It saddens me that we look so towards the future of a game even when it's only been out for a short time.

Just my two cents.

Infinity Ward said they wouldnt make the next game, they didnt say they wouldnt make another. They planned to work on COD 6 while Treyarch worked on COD 5. Much like they did from COD 2 to COD 4 as Treyarch made COD 3.
