New Gears Of War Game Mode

From today Epic should release a new game mode for the highly acclaimed Xbox 360 shooter Gears Of War. The new mode will be a 'King Of The Hill' themed mode, it involves taking control of key locations and holding them as a team to acquire points, and whichever team reaches the target point count first wins.

Respawns will also be limited to 15 second waves and winning scores ranging from a 120 to 480. Epic has said however that there are plenty of variables to play with and change.

It should be availible on Xbox Live today and its FREE

Hmmm... I always thought that there should've been more game types. Too bad I can't download this due to my fricking inability to get Xbox Live at my house! Maybe one day...

I know the feeling, i need to sort out getting a new modem so i can run my router through that and then run Xbox Live into it too.

It is free? Coo'! With the whole strategic feeling of GoW, with the cover n' stuff, a King of the Hill mode feels only... natural.

A little off topic, but as Tsuyu was saying, the strategic aspect of it is much more prevalent than in Halo or alot of other shooters, a reason that it's not just a 'pick up and play' type of game. Most of my friends have been persuaded into playing a few rounds, and they hate it! Sometimes you can't beat the classics though, because Halo's that kind of game where you just pick up a controller and play. Gears of War is kind of an acquired taste for some gamers.
