New hobbe renders. Humanized?

After seeing the 3D render of the F2 hobbes (I'm not sure when they came out, but I just saw them), I think it looks like they'll be humanizing them more.

Does anyone else see hope for hobbes as more than stereotypical barbarians?

And yes, I have made this comment before. Just not in a thread. And not with the new renders as support. And, the renders themselves-- Fable 2 / Screenshots Yes, I know those were already posted here. I'm just too lazy to find those ones.

EDIT: Okay, as it turns out there was a thread on this before. At least I didn't make it... http://forums.projectego.net/hobbes-evolve-fable-2-a-3437/page2/

If they were HUMANized then they wouldn't be hobbes. You mean make civilized?

i think they look kinda cute lol. but that wont stop me from killin em...i think making them more civilized will make them more of a challenge. they could use guns lol

No, I have a pathological hatred of the terms "civilized" and "civilization" in connection with "barbarian" and others. I mean "humanized."

In F1 they were treated as little more than animals by the game/characters in the game. Unthinking beasts; or stereotypical savages. I think they should be more.

Re: New hobbe renders. Humanized?

...Humans are Animals.

but I doubt the hobbes would be nicer. Maybe a select few. but they used to keep bags of body pieces in their caves. :O

Re: New hobbe renders. Humanized?

Fine, not animals. "Beasts." Does my phraseology meat with your satisfaction? Maybe "monstrous" would be better.

What, you don't think the humans kept body pieces in their houses?

And anyway, even if the hobbes WERE cannibals; A) A hell of a lot can change in 500 years, B) They are a race and hence there have to be more of them-- they can't all be monsters, and C) I just want some more variety. It seems unreasonable that an entire race of, presumably sapient, creatures would be so beastial/monstrous.

I'm going by what I saw in Fable. And no, I didn't see any of the bandits carrying around a baggy full of human arms and legs.

I never said anything about them being cannibals, and in order to be a cannibal don't you have to eat the flesh of their own kind? I also said maybe some of them could become nice. but I don't see very many of them doing that.

Re: New hobbe renders. Humanized?

OH, you meant HUMAN arms and legs. I missed that-- there I was thinking you meant body parts from anything. Well, the Hero carried around Trader and Hobbe heads. Does that count?

My view is that "cannibal" means "eating something that is sapient," but it's a moot point for us in this world. And if you didn't mean them being cannibals, did you mean that they ate people? I'll admit that was implied a bit, but never shown.

And why don't you think that hobbes won't become "nice" in five hundred years?
