I really hate to burst your bubble here folks, I really do what with the announcement already being posted and the fact Ill sound like an a*****e, but this is NOT a Fable 2 video. It is only a demo video showcased at Leipzeig, Germany, by Molyneux to demonstrate the possibility of using a new control system, he expressly stated at Leipzeig that this was not Fable 2.

If you read towards the bottom of this article you will see that it states about Molynex only wanting to show this video as a means to illustrate the kind of combat he would like to see in the future of gaming, why do you think the character models are from Fable 1?

Molyneux: This is NOT Fable 2 - Xbox 360 News at GameSpot

Apparently Molyneux wants to be able to create that amount of action with the use of something like only one single button and the d-pad of a controller O_o

Interesting video no less ^_^

And incidentally, I had already posted the link to this article, which also contains the video, in another thread about a week ago.

Edit; There is always the possibility of the video maybe having to do with preliminary work for Fable 2 but if it has Molyneux has denied it so unfortunately the video isnt officially Fable 2 >.<

I was just thinking that exact same thing, this was just a concept video of how Peter Molyneux wants fighting to be played in games and he says the fights in games have gotten boring etc. He did say it was NOT from Fable 2 on numerous occassions and it has been reported about on Gamespot and IGN.

Although it does look like the Fable engine... i love Peter Molyneux's vision and his desire to make EVERYTHING interesting and varied is just amazing!

The whole concept behind that fight scene appeals to me big time, I am just a button basher hack and slash chap at heart really and only having to hammer one button would be awesome especially with the entire environment being interactive, imagine if Molyneux was lying and this kind of feature was upcoming and scheduled for Fable 2, throwing tables at bandits, luring Balverines into the woods then letting rip with the sword to what down a smallish tree and timing it just right to land atop of the Balverine.

I cant wait for the Lionhead site update in September to see if anything new is mentioned about the game.

I just love how hes always improving ideas that have been around in games for ages. Other games producers would be happy with an average fight system but oh no not Peter Molyneux hes always going that one step further, and i have a shedload of respect for him and his vision!

The video may not be Fable 2 but I am sure Molyneux has some interesting control system ideas for Fable 2.

I am still waiting on the September update from Lionhead Studios on Fable 2, it should be here before the 16th hopefully....

Interesting little vid. Unfortunately I really hope that "release Date" on the gamevideos site is not true...I dont want to wait untill Dec 1st of 2008.....:realmad:
