Light Gun

Everybody wants to get into the act ... at least when it comes to turning the Wii remote into a gun. First it was the Joytech Sharp Shooter then Core Gamer's Wii Blaster, and, of course, Nintendo's own soon-to-be-released Wii Zapper.

Well, get ready to add another competitor to the list. Brando's 2-in-1Combined Light Gun has a leg up on rivals in its ability to be used as a pistol-like remote holder or a bazooka-style combination for the remote and Nunchuk together. The $18 accessory is sure to increase the ire of some people who think holding a plastic video game controller will turn our children into cold-blooded killers, but more sensible gamers should enjoy it.

With all these gun-like designs being bandied about, we can't help but feel a pang of nostalgia for the original Wii Zapper prototype shown at E3 2006. It had an economy of design that hasn't been matched by any of these bloated, white plastic accessories. R.I.P., little prototype.

Wait for the protests to flood in and angry parents saying it encourages children to use guns :getlost:

It actually looks a lot less childish than the last model (The Zapper) and also more practical.

Now it looks like a gun  Oh well, pretty cool. :D

Re: New Wii-Gun Accessory Goes 2-Piece...

I actually think that looks pretty good, and the concept is very good too. So long as the games werent childish that its used for it would be quite a big hit and also parents wouldnt be able to argue a case then.

Does it work with all games I wonder? It'd be helpful for RedSteel

Well, the new Medal Of Honor (FPS) that's coming out for the Wii, will be perfect this controller. ^_^

Nah, Vanguard (hmm...maybe it's out already...). As Airborne is for the PS3, 360, and PC only.

Too bad. This sort of controller, especially the rifle one you posted in another thread, would've ruled in Airborne.

They need a mainstream game to make use of something like that instead of making smaller not so well known titles specially for it instead and it being nothing more than a novelty.

Too bad they have to be tethered together. It would cool if all you needed was the gun.
