Ahh. Silly thieves. They put such little thought into their heists these days.
Darkside Hazuki's cardinal rules of clever theivery:
1) Nighttime is for suckers. Daytime works just as well! It's not like anyone can really see you THAT much better when you're trying to skulk around in the shadows, right?
2) People pay less attention to you when you wear suspicious clothing and demonstrate fishy behavior. Whistling inconspicuously works very well to draw attention away from you, even when the crowded room you're in is completely silent.
3) Ignore people who say you should make sure you're stealing something worth it, like a jewel with a cute nickname like the Pink Panther or the Green Gorilla or, something. All that talk about the risks far outweighing the reward is just hooplah.
4) When your elaborate, ingenious plan is near its end, try to escape the scene of the crime with your goods in a black, flimsy trash bag that might break open from the weight of your new stuff. Be certain to run like you're trying to get away. If the bag breaks, stop to pick up whatever you've dropped. Bonus points: Ask the nice policeman chasing you for assistance.
5) If all else fails, go to your knees and beg for mercy.
