Quite the move by Amazon as the Wii is hard to get a hold of for xmas and those 1000 are going to sell in no time, especially at that price.

I paid like $800 AU for a whole Wii package. (console, remote with nunchuks, and about three games)

Last year they had an Xbox Core for $100 they sold out in under 10 minutes and the activity on their site nearly crashed it.
