No Crackdown 2 On Way

It seems that the popular Xbox 360 game Crackdown (which shipped with the Halo 3 Beta on it) will not be getting a sequel. Much to everyones surprise the title made by Real Time Worlds may happen at some point however not anytime soon. They have said the following:

The team is "heartbroken" that there won't be a Crackdown 2 but Microsoft were a little late in stepping up to the plate to ask for Crackdown 2, and by then we had already started working on bigger, better things.

Real Time Worlds are now working on a cops and robbers MMO known as APB, and have thanked the Crackdown fans for putting their stunts etc on youtube. They have said that they want to make it easier to share movies with other people in the future and have learned a lot from the Crackdown experience.

In my fair opinion; this blows. Crackdown is a great game that deserves a sequel. As I've said before, I can't really play MMO-games, which sorta puts extra force in this kick to the nuts.

I dont think it will be a pay to play MMO as people always think of with them. Just lots of players online at once in the same game.

Cops and Robbers...MMO...GTA...All i can think of is loads of users running around on screen shooting people at random, and cops doing the same :lol:

Hmm, I'll have to wait and see more about this new MMO to get a better idea of what it's suppose to be like.

Hmm, I'll have to wait and see more about this new MMO to get a better idea of what it's suppose to be like.

There are a couple of little articles about it and all the games sites seem to be impressed and say its looking really good. I will see if i can fish them out when i get home.
