No do overs / instant Save

In a link posted by master in the I have questions AllRPG.com - Project Ego - Home
it mentions not being able to save and take an action to see what will happens. Then, if you don't like it, going back to the saved spot. So you must realy think about your actions. It would be more like real life. I hope this means that there wont be a temple of avo/skorm where you can quickly chagne from good to evil or back. That would mean you have to true live with the choices you make.

I wonder how they will be handling death

Re: No do overs / instant Save

A branching story depending on mission success and such would be a good idea but i think it should be a choice not an Auto Save if you fail etc.

Re: No do overs / instant Save

I see you going back to the beginning of the quest the way you do now. But if you're in a shop and you steal something then you can’t go back to a save point and not steal it. Probably more important than that are your interactions with people and how that affects the whole story.

And you don't have to remember to save because it will do it for you just not in the middle of the quest.

You mean by auto save that if you fail a quest theres no going back and correcting it........... bummer thats like a pencil without an eraser.:(

Thats a good point, i mean if the quest is maybe to hard or you dont like it then maybe you wouldnt mind but id like the option of redoing it just incase i miss anything.

Thats like fighting Jack of Blades and losing just imagine the outcome not so sure thats a good idea do you. but having the option to redo a quest is good i agree.

Re: No do overs / instant Save

I think i have an idea around that

Just if you loose shut off your xbox 360 before it saves..

Re: No do overs / instant Save

I like the idea that you could "Fail" a quest that leads to a plot twist that you might not otherwise get to experience. You might for instance, on a replay of the game, choose to "Fail" a quest that you previosly completed just to see another part of the game.

Re: No do overs / instant Save

yeah it would suck if you copuldnt because then you would have like 10 profiles just to see all parts of the day...

Yeah i agree that would be a good twist as i like branching stories for different outcomes. Plus that add more replay value to the game
