no longer then the first

In an gamespot interview with peter m about his GDC 2007 conference he is quoted as saying if you play right threw the game will only take 14hrs which is slighty longer then the 1st, but he also said that if take ur time and buy places ect. you will have a longer gaming experance.

Fable 2 - Gamespot

First vid on the link....

Re: no longer then the first

... yea but cmon' who plays right through anyways? everyone wants 2 test out the new stuff, like buy ther dog stuff, maybe hav a kid.. buy a few houses..

Re: no longer then the first

Some gamers just speed through the game for the first time. And then, on their second time, try to find out everything and try everything. Maybe 14 hours is not very much and I personally would like a longer storyline. But if Fable 2 is going to be the "freeroamest" game I doubt it matters much...:ninja: As long as theres always something new to do.

Re: no longer then the first

yeah i agree with...*looks up*tra rotid

Re: no longer then the first

14 hours? Ok, in Angel speak that's about.......five years, give or take a month...

Re: no longer then the first

Well now, just playing through the main quest, how long does Oblivion take to "complete"? I doubt it'd be much longer than 14 hours.

In games like Oblivion and Fable, just speeding through is wasting the experiance.

Yeah and missing about 80% of what the game has to offer.

Re: no longer then the first

14 hours is a little short for me, but with that being said it sure as hell won't stop me from playing it.

Re: no longer then the first

14 hours can be too long if the story is boring and pointless... What I mean is that the quality is more important than quantity, for me. And if Fable 2 is going to have a storyline as good as, for example Metal Gear series, there`s not much more to want from the game.

Re: no longer then the first

True, a good storyline is the biggest thing I look for in a game. I've played some games with shocking graphics and camera angles, but for me it was worth it to see how the story unfolded.
As for Metal Gear, I loved the game up untill near the end of Sons Of Liberty where they start playing with Jack's head. There's a difference between a good plot line and something that takes so long you can cook the evening meal, come back and it's still going...

Re: no longer then the first

Yeah, I understand what you mean with Sons Of Liberty... the ending was... long.

Ofcurse, there are good games which don`t have a good storyline. Painkiller for example and I love Painkiller. Sometimes it`s all about action... it really depends.

Re: no longer then the first

I somehow doubt it will be the same length as the first one. But either way It will take me longer than 14 hours. Especially since I intend to own EVERYTHING!

i took my time through oblivion, doing the ever so many mini quests and destroying oblivion gates. also working with the guilds. bt hey, this isnt about oblivion. in fable id kill an entire town, buy every last thing, then rent it all and do rent runs. major cash ;)
