or, if all else fails, just get a new 1. s'not like with a cartridge 4 handhelds (i.e DS etc.) where it would be your entire save file, so its not soooo. bad, i guess.

Thats always my first thing, my sisters have a habit of putting things in the wrong cases. :lol:
