Oblivion vs Two Worlds

Which do you like better?

Re: Oblivion vs Two Worlds

Oblivion is better for the simple reason two worlds tried to be too much like oblivion with some stuff oblivion didnt have, it failed miserabley so oblivion all the way!

2 weeks a month before you can think of going in certain areas O.O im 100% sure that the creatures in oblivion are leveled ;) plus if it took you that long to level up are you sure you werent playing morrowind and got mixed up?

Also two worlds is waaaay bigger then oblivion dude, im now convinced you played morrowind and got the two mixed up.

Re: Oblivion vs Two Worlds

Two World is just a crappy game, simple as that. It just got killed by terrible programming and design. Oblivion, on the other hand, is hailed as one of the greatest role-playing games ever.

Hmm...

I'm sure however that Two Worlds "could" have been a good, even great game, if they had actually spent some friggin' effort on it.

You are right! I just double checked, and i got them mixed up. I still prefer Two Worlds over any Oblivion game though. I fixed my post :)

Re: Oblivion vs Two Worlds

i played the demo for two worlds it was so bad i like oblivion way better

Re: Oblivion vs Two Worlds

OBLIVION wins no matter what, no way is 2 worlds going to beat oblivion

also my playtime for oblvion was like 8 days+

Re: Oblivion vs Two Worlds

Two Worlds was a good idea but really really poorly executed and Oblivion was great so definitely Oblivion on every level.

Re: Oblivion vs Two Worlds

Morrowind > Oblivion > whatever the hell this Two Worlds thing is.

Never got into it as the combat sucked majorly.

They only marginally improved on it in Oblivion, if at all. It is still really stiff, same with the whole game. It's more the character and story in Morrowind that make it such a good damn game.

I felt it was much better, if im swinging a sword in somethings face and it looks like its hitting it should hit and not miss depending on stats like Morrowind. I could see the weapon hitting and it just would not register half the time. After about 3 hours of Morrowind i just gave up as it frustrated me so much and i know Steve was the same.

I guess. It's been a long time since I've played Morrowind, and the only thing I really remember about the combat is how stiff it was. Now that you mention it, the combat has improved in Oblivion, but it was still crap compared to, say, Fable.

I still feel that Morrowind was 1000 times better than Oblivion.

Well Fable took the more action RPG route and Fables roleplaying aspect was never as deep as other RPG's. More moral choices than most i guess but never as deep and the moral choices were normally pretty clear cut unlike say KOTOR, Mass Effect, Fallout 3 etc where the choices are never as straight forward as you think.

Re: Oblivion vs Two Worlds

If only they could have the scope and depth of Morrowind, with the gameplay of Fable.

I orgasmed just thinking about it.

Re: Oblivion vs Two Worlds

Gross. :P

Anywho, Two Worlds was a pile of crap - Oblivion FTW :D

Re: Oblivion vs Two Worlds

Based on my friend`s opinion (I`ve played both Morrowind and Oblivion VERY little), Morrowind is better (although the combat sucked).

And I haven`t played Two Worlds, but I believe Oblivion is superior.

Re: Oblivion vs Two Worlds

Oblivion is one of my all time favourite games. I only managed to have a quick go on the Two Worlds demo when I downloaded it from Xbox Live, but I really wasn't at all impressed. I turned it off after about 30 minutes and haven't touched it since; I guess you could argue that I didn't give it much of a chance before I labelled it as a write-off, but I find that if I'm not bowled over with a game in that time then I probably won't ever be.

So, yeah, Oblivion.
