i saw their whole press conference it was awesome the graphics are amazing and the opening video magnificent.

so the game "is done"....so why wait until october....is it just squashing bugs...or is there more we dont know about...

I thought he said they were going back to tweek some parts, so that it becomes even more almighty than it already was. So there might possibly be a few more debugging stages to be done. All it takes is one bad bug to ruin a whole game so they want to be extra careful with this beauty.

He said the release date as he left the stage today at E-3. He'll be on again later today. IGN, and all the other places are having updates as we speak. Probably going back to check for other stuff.
