Ya i have the same problem haha like i have only hit jack pot once on the tower thing but then i just lost it all becuase i had to pay off the chips and things.

My strategy in Fortune's tower is to play until I lose the gate card it has been working pretty well for me. I will occasionaly go to the fourth level if I won't lose much even if I've lost the gate card.
If you lose the gate card there you can't win a jackpot so the risk isn't worht the payout.
You should also consider how many kings have turned up. If ther are none then there is a higher chance that you will get one on a higher round.
I have a theory for Keystone that I'll try later tonight.

Yeah, spinnerbox is just kinda irritating. Nothing you can do about it, but it's annoying to automatically get a low rank in the tournament.
For that matter, since no skill is involved in slo-...Spinnerboxes, I don't see the point of having the tournament

I'm not so sure I'll want to combine my hero with my player, if it means I'll start off the game in debt. I'm very unlucky, and I should have known I wouldn't get far in the pub games considering I suck just as much at real gambling......

Actually, if you get off to a really bad start, hit the "reset patron" option under Manage Characters. You might have to do this multiple times before you get the hang of it.
My strategy mostly involves playing conservatively on Fortune's Tower >_> In the tournaments I get a little more wild since it's not MY money But aside from that. Also, keep in mind the first tournaments are totally free and, if you figure out how to win them, you can get quite a bit of gold doing them over and over. Granted, it's a set amount and you have to be in at least fifth place but still.

Well, I don't know how but I've won more on spinnerbox than anything else. Over six hundred gold. Don't ask how, I think my Irish is kicking in or something. But I find it's best to get out of that game as soon as you either break even or win anything (even if it's just five gold). This way I seemed to have increased in rank more quickly. I'm a little ways into rank two. I even won the spinnerbox tournament.
But I am confused. I keep placing third and fourth in the Fortunes Tower tournament and it keeps telling me I didn't place.... this is a lie, I was in third place. Am I missing something?

yes, i won the fortunes tower tornament, i dont know how, but you have to earn a spot in "the final table" or whatever. so although you did well, you didnt do well enough to go to the final round.
