OMD!!

OMD!! Someone explain this, or contribute to tha thread... WHEN YOUR ON TOP OF HERO HILL. AFTER YOU HAMMER, GARTH AND REAVER MAKE THAT LIGHT, THERESER DISSAPEARS AND HAMMER ASKS LUCIEN "What have you done with her" AND HE REPLIES "I merely listened"!!! WHICH MEENS WHAT EXACTLY!! He listened to Thereser? What did she tell him? and why....?.......ooooooooo...

Re: OMD!!

Well they'res obviously more to the story then the simple campain, for instance why is Garth so stupid?

He was in the Spire, and escaped. Went back to the spire and escaped. He escaped by frying the collars with lighting having spent 10 years amounting the energy needed. He also studied Old Kingdom technologie for years and years yet when it comes to fighting the shard at the end of the game it takes him three spells to find one that can harm the shard. Yet you'd think he would know that lighting would wreck it, he plays dumb.

But what you said about theresa is also true, because she's imortal, hence why she's been able to live 500 years. She's part of the sacred bloodline and has power beyond imagine but she needs you to kill Lucien. But Lucien is a meer mortal, proven when u simply shoot him at the end, or wait and let Reaver shoot him.
Why she wants the spire is a reccuring question that can't be answered atm, but simply pondered apon in hope to find a logical answer.
To answer either of these questions you'll need to know the -inbetween- of fable 1 and fable 2, because something must of happened for Theresa's brother(hero in fable 1) to be dead, or atleast not in fable 2. He was as powerfull as she was and shouldnt of died either, although something must of happened either before or while the destruction of the guild.
Another question you can ask about Theresa is why can she teleport, but u can't? If you are this -fourth hero- and so powerfull, why do you still have to walk around everywhere?

They'res so many questions to be answered and so many theories that can be made, but the irrelevent solution is waiting another 3 years for Fable 3.

-edit- I'd also like to note that they'res most likely some answers in the literature, I plan on reading all the books from fable 2 and fable 1 once i get the time

-edit2- Read most of the books in fable 2, they're mostly just comedies. Going to move onto the diaries eventualy, they'll probably shed some light on things

Re: OMD!!

who says he has to be dead? could have lost his powers and now hides in the shadows waiting

Re: OMD!!

immortality doesnt have to run in the bloodline. just because the original hero was related to theresa who was immortal herself, doesnt mean he has to be immortal. by that logic jack of blades shouldnt have been able to kill your mother in the first one. the hero is just dead and theresa is just immortal. theres nothing to that. about teleporting. in the first one you teleported using the guild seal. you do not possess the guild seal and perhaps she does. maybe this is she teleports. and i know you get some seal thing at the beginning but i dont believe that to be the same as the seals in the first one. in the first one there was no special ability possessed by your hero to teleport. it was all just the seal. and about the whole thread. there are lots of loose ends for this game, which im sure will be tied up in the next fable, only to leave more loose ends remaining. dont bother asking questions about things that seem mysterious to you because chances are that its supposed to be mysterious and nobody is going to have an answer

True, it doesn't meen they both had immortality, although his mother was killed by he sword of Aeons, and only the sword of Aeons. Also the guild seal would teleport you to the Culis gates if I'm not mistaken, so the seal would be Old Kingdom technology that reacts with old Kingdom technology.
I'm pretty sure the seal you get at the begginging from Theresa is the guild seal, although seeing as most of the Culis gates were presumably destroyed while the fall of the guild, it could explain the lack of teleporting. Yet still not explain why Theresa can, unless we look at her line in the guild "I see other Dimensions" which was followed by Hammer asking if she can read in other dimensions. Possibly in other dimensions the cullis gates remain where they have been for so many years which allows her to teleport.

Also Theresa states that the person who had the Spire built was the last Archon, could anyone tell me what the name of the golden armour from Lost Chapters is?

Re: OMD!!

i dont get how teresa is still alive.
because in one of the loading screens it says that the hero from the first game wielded the sword of aeons.
but wouldnt that mean he would of had to kill teresa to get it?
so how can she still be alive?

Theresa has the gift of prophesy, and when the Hero in TLC, spared her she went East, and ran into a mage that tried to take her powers, and she killed him, and took his powers. Her brother was killed, and now she is out to revenge her brother.:)

Re: OMD!!

maybe theresa is a spirit! :0
or a product of the green fairy beer

Hey don't forget somethings could have happened while you were at the spire for so long.
Alot of things could have happened during the spire as well.
So we still have alot to learn about fable but we still have fables 3,4 & 5 to look forward to.

That we do, and wait I shall.

Re: OMD!!

ok then let's wait here on these threads until (RIP)Peter dies(hopefully he'll never die and we'll never die so that we can always look forward to more fable!:w00t:)

you have a point about the sword of aeons however if their whole bloodline was immortal, wouldnt they have grandparents and great grandparents and great great grandparents and such stretching back for millenia? i really dont think that the immortality ran in the bloodline. i think its just theresa. you have an interesting point about the cullis gates though. the armour in TLC was something like archons armour or archon's something. im not 100% sure.

this relates to the whole thread. in that this game is meant to be played and enjoyed, and then wondered about. but i believe this to be one of lionheads blonde moments where theyve made some decision in fable 1 and then the result changes to something which doesnt make sense in fable 2. i think they expect that we will assume something magical happened within those 500 years which irons out all the creases inbetween the two games. im sure if we examine the game close enough there are a number of discrepancies between fable 1 and fable 2.
