OMG!!! I'm an Achievment Whore!!!!

I may get Flamed for this, but i actually traded in my old 20G HD for a Pre-owned Avatar TLA:TBE, and it cost me $10 AUD after the trade. I've got my 1000 points, all within 2 mins of starting the game, Now i'm done with it!!

But in my defense, my daughters are big Avatar fans, and I'm sure they'll love it!!

Herein lies my Moral Dilemma. I could either finish the game properly, within my week off of work, then take it back, telling EB games that "I didn't like it" and they give me store dredit towards another game, or, i can keep it for the sake of the kids!!!

Opinions, please anyone?

by playing avatar you are by defalt an acheivment whore, sorry. there is nothing that can be done now. you might as well keep it for the kids. play it once in a while, pretend you like it and dont understand acheivments.

so that game really gives you all 1000 points in just a few minuets? seriously? what in the world do you do in that game to get acheivments so fast?

LOL thats awesome.... keep it for the kids... you wont hear the end of it if you trade Avatar for something of your own desire.... I almost made that mistake with Kung-Fu Panda.

well, if your kids like it you might as well keep it. I guess you might as well finish the game to, then it doesnt make you that much of an acheivment whore.

^ Lol, I don't think that's a suitable idea, considering they are very Impressionable kids. who knows, if they started playing L4D, they may start making Zombie Plans, haha

My kid won't play it properly - she won't steal cars, threaten people or run them over. She will only use a car after she's pretended to ask permission first from whoever seems to be nearby at the time and if the police chase her, she pulls over and allows herself to be arrested.

She also thinks a drive-by is when you shout out of the car window to "stop using naughty words" at the NPC's who swear. I despair, sometimes...

Well, everyone needs a hobby after all...

She's just so...so...polite. Makes me sick, so it does. She certainly didn't get her pleasant demeanour from me - or her biological father, for that matter, so I can only deduce that she was swapped in the hospital without me realising. Someone somewhere has the most hideous child to contend with, trying desperately to understand what they've done wrong to deserve such a hellish offspring...

she sounds so adorable! my kids don't play any games properly. they sort of make an RPG out of an RPG, where fable 2 become a fasion show or some crazy thing like that.
Back to the actual topic of the thread now. i know some of you have played the game, so what i want to know, is it really worth playing? I'm a bit of an Avatar fan anyway, and it seems to follow the story line quite closely too, so i think i'm gonna have to finish it!!

Why would you ever sell anything to EB Games or Gamestop? It's such a rip off. Keep it!

^Its a waste to keep it, get your money back, dont scratch it up a bit and send it back saying it didnt work (This only works if it was used, because they are supposed to test them and if it doesn't work you can get money back) Or learn your lesson, and go to a video game rental store and grab those games there for seven dollars and its only their for a week.

On topic now...
if you paid for it your an achievement whore. if you stole it your an achievement whore. if you have it at your disposal for FREE then your not. see how i purposely left that loophole? >.>

also, if you want to let your kids play the game... you can purposely scratch it up to the point where it doesn't work. you say it came like that, the store thinks that some dumb employee took it in a trade without looking...vuala! extended return period! (30 days to be exact)

How old is your daughter? i played gta like i was supposed to when i was like 9 years old or something.

so yeah back on topic, you should ask you're kids if they would like another game instead and try to find a game that is appropriate for them and is fun for adults, but if you can't keep it, like john doe said they might hold onto that kind of thing.
But if there is no choice. keep it. Depending on what is the original price is if you should give it back or not. but wait, see if they stop playing the game and if they stop playing completely and seem to have lost interest then you could exchange it.

geting the acheivments and never touching the game again/taking it back= total acheivment whore

finishing the game befor getting rid of it= much less of a whore
