Omitting Alignments

In fable one i never liked the fact that the distinction between evil and good was clarified to the point it was obvious which decisions to make. I don't think they could remedy this problem however hard they try and they should minimize the amount of "choices" you HAVE to make to progress through the game. Just to clarify my point in fable you could either; steal gold from a farmer and destroy his property, or just stand still for 30 seconds. One is clearly bad (not evil) and the other isn't good or heroic by any means.

MAIN IDEA: More of the metaphorical gray areas of human morals should be included in place of clear cut good vs. bad

Re: Omitting Alignments

the whole good and evil thing should be much better in fable 2

Re: Omitting Alignments

Well in the first game they pretty much took it as far as they could, they just need to back up from that extreme and say how can we make this a weaker Idea but expand on the genius of it.

Re: Omitting Alignments

there need to be alot more depth in this feature

Re: Omitting Alignments

remember every choice has a consequence both good and evil

Re: Omitting Alignments

Either you do away with it all together or certain acts are Good  and others are Evil:devil:. The some of all those acts can still lead you to be a shade of gray. But who wants to be gray?

Re: Omitting Alignments

Well, we know that Fable 2 will have a more realistic human quality about it, considering all they've mentioned. There'll be more variety in how you decide things and when, making your character, and the characters around, you more humanly realistic...that's if they are human. The first game did seem a little bland with the choices of alignment, but it wasn't bad. You were either viewed as a God-like figure or an Evil demonic creature, whom everyone loathed and/or feared.

I think the alignment feature was partially a problem because of the small lack chemistry and communication between various characters. It wasn't always there and you didn't feel connected to them and sometimes what was happening, so to speak. I'm sure the second Fable can remedy this problem, although it wasn't much of one. Just play the game and enjoy it.:P

true thing

Re: Omitting Alignments

But... But the poor flower! :(

In honest opinions, I liked the way they did it, but imagine how awesome it'll be in Fable 2!
"Yeah I'm evil, run away from me and I'll slap you... Then tread on your child's sand castle."
