orchard farm patch of nothing?

on the way to get key #6, on the path leading through the apple trees my shovel icon appeared so i dug and found nothing, but my character does the stance of wich i found something, this is the first time ive ever gotten this also ive herd about a fishing spot that does the same thing anyone no why im not digging something up mabby someone could check orchard farms codding to see why im not getting something from digging irate:

same then once he stops digging it said you find nothing intresting...thats only meant to happen with bookshelves and cuboards

yeah i posted a thread about this. haven't found the fishing spot although. maby there was going to be an item there or you could only get it at a certain point in the game.
