PC Fable: TLC

Please forgive me if there is already a thread on this, but I was in a hurry and did not find it.

I just got Fable: TLC yesterday at walmart, but my computer is at the shop so I can't play it yet. My question is why are there 4 discs, isn't it jst run on 1 disc or do you have to insert a disc after a certain time?
I have only ever played fable on xbox so I don't know.

I know you have to load the four disks to install it and you only need one to play it but why there are four instead of one I'm not sure. Perhaps its due to the inefficiencies of CISC processors compared to RISC processors
