Penumbra

Has anyone played this series? Is it worth it? I played the intro of the first game, up until the metal grate in the beginning and it already felt oppressing and gloomy... lonesome and a bit unnerving. Just wondering if I should play through this series, if it is a memorable and worthy gaming experience.

I've heard good and bad about it, just wanted some opinions heh. It's kind of an obscure game.

I have bookmarked this game from GameSpot so it's on my list of games I'd like to play one day.
