Peter Molyneux On a Desert Island

Recently, 1UP posed the question to various industry big whigs on which single game they would take with them if they were to be stranded on a desert island. Our old chum, Peter Molyneux, was one of those asked and here's what he had to say...

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Why did you pick this game?

Because it has a huge number of minigames, an enormous amount of replay value, and a lot of hidden items to discover.

Name one game you wanted to choose, but didn't.

Supreme Commander

Why didn't you go with that one?

I thought of Las Vegas Strip Poker for additional entertainment, [but] I love RTS games, and Supreme Commander is the latest RTS out there. I settled on Zelda because it has much more emotional involvement and I think I'd want some of that if I were on my own on a desert island.

Desert Island Discs

His choices are quite recent games, least hes keeping up with the market of todays games. Some choices by some people are strange but most are understandable. Good find Hex ^_^

Its kinda funny. I would have also picked Twilight Princess, simply because Ive never played it myself and all the things Ive heard about it were very positive. Pete has good taste in games:lol:.

I'd definetely say he has good taste in games, because otherwise he would never be capable of producing Fable in the first place. :)

I played twilight princess on wii and didnt get into it that well.. I just wasn't used to the controller... But I would choose.... Either Fable: TLC or.. Dragonballz Bodukai tenkaichi... I know sounds dumb...

I was going to choose gears of war.. but..I think i would play dbz more.. because theres alot more you can do and earn...

As in foreign cuisine, Gears of War seems to be an acquired taste for many gamers. It has an element of strategy that was not as prominent in Halo or other shooters, something that many have a hard time adapting two. My best friend and I love it, but after attempting a four-player system link game with two of my other friends, they were sick of the game. But also as in foreign cuisine, many gamers have different taste-buds I suppose...

.

Twight light princess on the Wii takes a bit to get used to. If you've never played another Zelda game (ocarina of time) then it'll be hard to understand. The gamecube controls are easier to learn

They also released Twilight Princess on the Gamecube,
this may be a better choice if you can't get accustomed to the "wii-mote".
